Stem cells are immune system privileged, so anyone can be treated.

Stem cells support anti-inflammatory activity, immune modulating capacity, and contain the optimum ability to stimulate regeneration.

Stem cells can be administered multiple times in uniform dosages that contain high cells counts. Stem cells can be administered two ways: intra-articular (injected directly) or through an intravenous (I.V.) infusion.

Stem cells are cells that have the ability to evolve into other types of cells, including those that make up your cartilage, muscle, and soft tissues, and are vital in the body’s natural ability to heal. At Advanced Care Specialists, the team uses umbilical cord stem cells (UCSC) in their stem cell therapy. Obtained from umbilical cord tissue after the delivery of healthy babies, UCSC are the safest and least invasive method of harvesting stem cells.

During stem cell therapy, your provider either administers injections of UCSC directly where you need it or gives you an IV infusion to maximize the stem cells’ effect. Once in your body, the stem cells seek out damaged cells, whether from injury or degeneration, and begin repairing and regrowing the necessary tissue. What’s more, these stem cells create an anti-inflammatory response and regulate the body’s immune system. This process not only helps your body heal, but it reduces discomfort and restores mobility in inflamed joints, making you more comfortable. Depending on your specific case, your provider may recommend stem cell therapy to treat conditions and injuries in your:

  • Shoulders
  • Knees
  • Hips
  • Body Area

Stem cell therapy can help after an injury, but can also address degeneration caused by aging, wear-and-tear, or arthritis. IV infusions are also available for many health symptoms and health conditions. Call The Advanced Care Specialists team to learn more.

Before you begin stem cell therapy at Advanced Care Specialists, the team asks that, for at least five days before the procedure, you discontinue — or at least reduce — the use of:

  • Aspirin products
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • Vitamin E supplements
  • Fish oil

Drink plenty of water before the procedure to get optimal results.

On the day of your stem cell therapy, you’re brought into the office and an Advanced Care Specialists team member cleans and preps the treatment area. Depending on your specific case, the doctor may inject the stem cells at your treatment area or give you an IV infusion containing the UCSC.

The whole procedure takes 10-20 minutes and requires no downtime after treatment. The Advanced Care Specialists team does ask that you refrain from anti-inflammatory medication for 1-2 weeks as the stem cells replicate themselves in the treatment area.

The use of Umbilical Cord Stem Cells is FDA cleared and our provider abides by all of the most stringent medical guidelines. Your comfort, safety, and recovery are the top concern.

The cells are rigorously tested and screened under NIH, FDA, AATB, and AABB guidelines.

Because UCSC are less mature than other cells, the body’s immune system is unable to recognize them as foreign and therefore, they are not rejected. There has never been a documented instance of rejection in graft vs. host.
